About Mechanical Engineering

Mission

The mechanical engineering program aims to provide students with an outstanding educational level, and to develop strong research tracks to promote a close partnership with industry, with the aim of providing specialized engineering services to the industrial community in Egypt and abroad. In achieving its mission, the program is committed to continuous improvement in the overall quality of teaching and scientific and academic research. The program also bears the responsibility of participating in scientific and technological progress in its field of specialization by providing the theoretical, practical and technical basis for students to allow them to practice professional and research work, whether this work is in the industrial community, in the academic field, or in research and development centers in industrial facilities, so that the education in the program becomes a nucleus for completing postgraduate studies at the master's and doctoral levels. The program also bears the professional responsibility to provide means of continuing education and specialized training for engineers working in the industry with the aim of developing their capabilities and providing them with the necessary skills to cope with the steady growth in technology that the world is witnessing today.

Description

Mechanical Engineering (MENG) is the most attractive engineering discipline that many aspirants join every year. MENG provides students with an outstanding educational experience by adopting academic bylaws compatible with both the American credit hour system and with the (ECTS) European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System.
The program provides students with a unique opportunity to study abroad for one semester in European universities through student exchange agreements, which give students unique experiences.
MENG also adopts Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with industrial partners which provides students with an excellent foundation in the core technical competencies preparing them for local, regional, and international markets.
Today's mechanical engineers are a lifeline of the national economy using cutting-edge computing, smart sensors, and electronic technology to design and manufacture automated products for the prosperity of society.
The program bears the professional responsibility to provide means of continuing education and specialized training for engineers working in the industry with the aim of developing their capabilities and providing them with the necessary skills to cope with the steady growth in technology that the world is currently witnessing.

The Program offers two majors namely:

  1. Mechatronics Engineering (Click here to view Program Specs)
  2. Thermal Sciences and Energy Engineering (Click here to view Program Specs)
