ARUD Program Hosts Architect Eslam Malak for his Talk on "Urban Sketching: The Art of Capturing Vital Moments"

ARUD program had the great pleasure of hosting Architect Eslam Malak who talked about "Urban Sketching: The Art of Capturing Vital Moments" on November 9th, 2022 at 8:30 PM Cairo. 

The lecture was held by Architecture and Urban Design Program (ARUD) at Nile University. This lecture gives inspiration and different insights with professional visuals, techniques, and representations of urban sketching.

Eslam Malak is an architect at Schaduf, with a growing interest in urban nature-based solutions to elevate the quality of life through environmental and social change. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Port Said University.

He has over five years of experience covering a wide range of fields including architecture, urban design, and urban upgrading. He is an urban sketcher exploring many different areas including Historic Cairo, Port Saeed, Al Quseir, and Esna. He has sketched along many initiatives and institutions including Cairo Urban Sketchers, the Goethe-Institut, and Turathna.

Eslam has given multiple lectures on urban sketching at universities including Port Said University, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AAST), and Nile University (NU).
