Dr. Tamer received his B.Sc. Aerospace Engineering from Cairo University in 2000; his M.Sc. Engineering Mathematics, Cairo University, 2005; and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from Yokohama National University, in 2010. He is currently an assistant professor at Nile University, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
Dr. Tamer participated in teaching Engineering courses at several educational institutes like Modern Sciences and Arts (MSA), Institute of Aviation Engineering and Technology (IAET), and Cairo University, serving as a part-time and full-time professor; the courses he taught covered a wide spectrum that includes basic sciences and applied topics.
Dr. Tamer contributed to various quality and accreditation activities at his mother institute, Cairo University, and Nile University. He has successfully prepared the quality portfolio for the preliminary NAQAAE application at NU. He is currently serving as the director of the Business Intelligence unit.
As for his research focus, the main topic of his research is applying mathematics to engineering applications. These applications include the design of breakwaters, HVAC problems, and numerical analysis of discretization methods.
