Missions & Objectives
The Civil and Infrastructure Engineering and Management Program at the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Nile University aims to achieve the top academic level required for students to keep up with the continuous growth in modern technologies in advanced communities. This can be attained by teaching students the basic principles and modern technologies in the program fields of specialties, as well as training students to practice methodological thinking and using modern engineering problem-solving methodologies with a comprehensive awareness of the role of civil engineering in the growth and development of modern societies. To achieve this, the program seeks graduates to be:
- Scientifically and technically equipped to practice the civil engineering profession as a newly graduated engineer, to join postgraduate programs in the fields of transportation, water, and wastewater or construction engineering.
- Able to identify engineering problems in fields of transportation management, water, and environmental engineering management, and construction management, and accurately characterize these problems systematically to reach appropriate solutions and to be able to communicate results with others.
- Capable of successfully improving the career in the field of specialty (transportation management, water, engineering management, and construction management), and ready to take responsibility and leadership positions due to effective teamwork abilities and problem-solving following an organized approach.
- Prepared to work in broad fields of civil engineering through the acquisition of science and technical skills in various specializations (transportation management, water, and environmental management, and construction management). This shall be achieved through the compulsory and elective courses, as well as science and technical skills in areas of general major core compulsory courses and major electives courses.
