Nile Univesrity Winter School “Off—Seams”

Nile University Winter School - entitled “Off-Seams” – was organized by the Architecture and Urban Design Program (ARUD) at Nile University in Cairo, Egypt, within the framework of the collaboration with the Education Program of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture. It is also one of several outputs of the IMPAQT project.

Five ARUD sophomore students joined 20 senior students and graduates in this 7-day design charette with a group of national and international professors and professionals of diverse backgrounds from Egypt, Italy, Spain, Portugal, and Bangladesh, including an Aga Khan Award for Architecture winner.

An exhibition of the students’ final output was held at Nile University, where a group of experts and academics, including the Director of the Aga Khan Trust for Culture Education Programme, heard the students and held a closing panel discussion. That students and faculty also attended from other universities.
