Qanater Al khairiya Field Trip

A field trip was organized by the Civil Infrastructure and Engineering Management (CIEM program) for students enrolled in CIEM 341 (fluid mechanics) and CIEM 441 (Introduction to Hydraulics) courses with the support of the CCC club. The trip's goal was to visit the Hydraulic Research Institute in AlQanatir Al Khayriyyah and integrate the academic curriculum with how to apply the theories. The visit began with a welcome to Nile University students, followed by a viewing of the actual gates and weirs in al qanatir al khayriyyah. The students then went to two hydraulic simulation models for two different studies. The research was explained to them in detail. They observed various hydraulic structures and how they were designed and applied.
