Al-Gulshani Project at the Architecture and Urban Design (ARUD) Program
4 students from ARUD at Nile University were involved in the Takiyyat Al- Gulshani project through a summer internship for 4 weeks during September 2021.
Their tasks included participating in updating the base map, behavioral observation and documentation of the activity settings in the street, mobility counts for vehicular and pedestrian flow, model making for the study area, and preliminary analysis for the conducted interviews.
In addition, as part of the undergraduate course ‘Spatial and Urban Dynamics', year 4 students at ARUD were also involved in the Al-Gulshani project. The students were divided into 8 groups of 3 to work on the adaptive reuse scenarios of Takiyyat Al-Gulshani. Students presented their work to World Monuments Fund (WMF) and affiliated stakeholders for feedback in January 2022.
