Dr. Ahmed Sultan Awarded the Dr. Hazem Ezzat Award for Excellence in Scientific Research
The Dr. Hazem Ezzat Award for Excellence in Scientific Research goes to Dr. Ahmed Sultan, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Nile University.
Dr. Ahmed Sultan received his MA and Ph.D. in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Cairo University in 2014, where he won the award for the best thesis from the university. He held the position of Director of Research and Development at LED International for a year and a half and was also a Research Associate at the College of Engineering, Newcastle University, UK. Dr. Sultan leads several projects such as wearable devices for self-care monitoring, rapid diagnosis, and vision restoration in collaboration with top universities and research centers around the world in these fields. Dr. Sultan has published more than 70 research papers in reputable journals with over 800 citations and 14 H-indexes and has supervised 6 MSc and Ph.D. students. Dr. Sultan received several awards, including the State Incentive Award in 2019, and participated in many national and international scholarships. He also received a fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering in Leaders in Innovation (LIF) and a fellowship from the Higher Academy of Education in the United Kingdom.
