Dr. Bakinam Essawy's Contribution to the Technical Committee of Cairo Water Week (CWW) 2023
The Civil and Infrastructure Engineering and Management (CIEM) program at Nile University is excited to share that Dr. Bakinam Essawy, actively contributed to organizing and serving on the technical committee of Cairo Water Week (CWW) 2023. The CWW is dedicated to addressing critical water-related challenges, bringing together experts, innovators, and enthusiasts from around the world to collaborate and find sustainable solutions for our planet's most precious resource.
In addition, Dr. Essawy took on the role of moderating the Young Water Inventors Competition during the Cairo Water Week Conference.
The Young Water Inventors competition is specifically designed for STEM school students aged between 15 and 19 years old who have completed water-related science projects. Through this competition, students get an opportunity to think critically and work independently or in teams. This competition is sponsored by The Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation, the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, and UNESCO. From 160 projects, five have been selected, with twelve talented inventors from four STEM schools across the country: Alexandria, Maadi, Obour, and Ismailia.
The event took place at the Cairo Water Week Conference held at the Nile Ritz on Thursday, November 2nd, 2022, from 11:30 to 13:30.
