Dr. Dina Kamal Shehayeb Awarded the Tariq Abdel Wareth Award for Best Innovation Activity

The Tariq Abdel Wareth Award for Best Innovation Activities went to Professor Dina Kamal Shehayeb, Professor and Director of the Architecture and Urban Design Program at Nile University; at the same time, she is the owner of the "Shehayeb Consult" office for engineering studies and consultancy.

She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin - Milwaukee, USA, in 1995 in the field of urban design. Its expertise is focused on integrative research methods, planning, and holistic multi-dimensional design with the aim of directing intervention in the areas of urban development in line with social conditions and the needs of users of all categories. She served as a consultant to the Minister of Social Solidarity from 2008 to 2011 and was a member of the Board of Directors of the Slum Development Fund (2015) and the Advisory Board of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) from 2004-2012.
Dr. Dina Chehayeb has succeeded in establishing the entire architecture and urban design program since the university's inception and working on developing academic regulations and curricula.

As the program director, Dr. Dina was keen to secure the highest quality of education for her students by attracting international funding to secure program requirements, concluding international student exchange agreements, and practical training for students to support long-term learning. Dr. Dina also had a key role in supporting the university and designing the new campus.
