The First Egyptian Graduate Student in Egypt to receive the IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship
Mohamed Magdy is the first Egyptian graduate student in Egypt to receive an IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship. Mohamed Magdy Gad is a research assistant at NISC in the “optoelectronics and antenna design” group. He is also a graduate student in the Master of Science in Microelectronics System Design program at Nile University and his advisors are Prof. Yasser El-Batawy, and Dr. Mai Sallam. Mohamed received the IEEE AP-S Fellowship (2023) for his project entitled “Optical nano-antennas for photovoltaic and infra-red sensing applications”. About the award: The IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship program is awarded annually to 48 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at accredited universities worldwide. The fellowship aims to promote areas of interest to AP-S among them to facilitate their career pursuit in research areas related to electromagnetics and antenna design.
