Modeling and Simulation of Dynamic Systems

The course will also provide students with thorough understanding of the sequence of activities related to computer simulation (problem statement, data acquisition, model design, simulation experiment, verification, techniques and methods in different industrial and research applications. Topics covered: Discrete Event Simulation, Random Number Generators, Analogy between different physical and electrical systems, modeling of electrical systems, modeling of mechanical systems, modeling of electromechanical systems, modeling of hydraulic systems, modeling of pneumatic systems, modeling of thermal systems, transducers functions for different physical systems, state space representations for different physical systems, simulation and sot testing of electromechanical systems (MATLAB with Simulink can be used as a simulation tool).
