The First Egyptian to Receive the IEEE Prestigious Scholarship

Mohamed Hany, the first Egyptian to receive the IEEE prestigious scholarship, is a sophomore student in the Electronics & Computer Engineering program at Nile University, and we are proud to announce that he received the IEEE MTT-S undergraduate/pre-graduate scholarship award (Cycle 1 - 2024). The IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) grants up to 12 scholarships in two competition cycles organized in April and October to undergraduate/pre-graduate students. These scholarships aim to support students in pursuing their research interests and future careers in the field of

The First Egyptian Graduate Student in Egypt to receive the IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship

Mohamed Magdy is the first Egyptian graduate student in Egypt to receive an IEEE Antenna and Propagation Society (AP-S) Fellowship. Mohamed Magdy Gad is a research assistant at NISC in the “optoelectronics and antenna design” group. He is also a graduate student in the Master of Science in Microelectronics System Design program at Nile University and his advisors are Prof. Yasser El-Batawy, and Dr. Mai Sallam. Mohamed received the IEEE AP-S Fellowship (2023) for his project entitled “Optical nano-antennas for photovoltaic and infra-red sensing applications”. About the award: The IEEE Antennas

The School of Engineering & Applied Sciences “Program Discovery Camp”

The School of Engineering and Applied Science at Nile University had an absolutely amazing 4 days at the Engineering Program Discovery Camp at Nile University. The students had hands-on experiences with cutting-edge technology, building and coding robots, delving into virtual reality simulations, and exploring the limitless possibilities of engineering. The purpose of this camp is to provide high school students with immersive experience in the field of engineering and to equip them with the necessary knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their future careers. The Program

ARUD’s First Exhibition

The School of Engineering and Applied Sciences witnessed the first exhibition for ARUD students, the first batch of graduates from the Architecture and Urban Design program developed by the ERASMUS Project. It is the first exhibition that showcases ARUD student accomplishments over the past 5 years. The Exhibition included a selection of the Graduation Projects of the first batch of ARUD Graduates. It also serves as a tribute to all who have contributed to the development of this program.

Nile University Participates in Cairo Innovates 2023 Exhibition

Cairo Innovates - Cairo International Exhibition of Science, Research, and Innovation aims to stimulate scientific innovation in Egypt. The two days event included sessions, workshops, competitions, panels, and inspiring stories of rising talents. Nile University was honored to get selected as a partner and to participate in the 7th Cairo International Exhibition for Innovation - under the patronage of H.E. President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, organized and sponsored by the Ministry of Research & Higher Education, and the Academy of Scientific Research & Technology (ASRT). The Exhibition provided a

Composite Beams Design and Testing Under Axial, Bending and Shear Loads

This study investigates the failure behavior of woven carbon/epoxy solid laminates with orthogonal woven plies (0/90° plain weave) subjected to three-point bending, tension, and compression in addition to investigating the applicability of unidirectional failure theories for woven plies. The analysis is conducted experimentally using material load tests and numerically using the finite element

Wind Turbine Aeroelastic Analysis and Design

As a result of the high demand for clean and sustainable energy resources, increasing the rotor diameter and tower height is the trend of development to capture more energy from the wind. The long flexible blades are sensitive to any vibrations; therefore, the flutter analysis of wind turbine blades became highly required. A lot of research work has been dedicated to studying the flutter phenomena

Satellite Analysis and Design

The parametric design and optimization of the satellite composite laminated plates with conventional stacking sequence under static load. We create finite element code using MATLAB software to calculate the deformation of the composite satellite plate. The model has been created to study the effect of changing fiber orientation on the displacement of the composite satellite plate. The MATLAB code
