Antenna and Propagation
Introduction to the fundamentals of wave propagation and antenna theory and design. The course covers the theory of radiation, fundamental antenna parameters and concepts, wire antennas such as dipoles and loop antennas, antenna arrays, aperture antennas, microstrip antennas, numerical analysis, and practical configurations in communication and radar systems.
Utilize contemporary technologies, codes of practice and standards, quality guidelines, health and safety requirements, environmental issues and risk management principles.Design, model and analyze an electrical, electronic, microwave and optical system or component for a specific ICT application and identify the tools required to optimize this design.Design, integrate, and test analog and digital, discrete and integrated, electronic circuits to realize specific functions, using the right equipment, and under specific design constraints.Use appropriate specialized software packages, write computer programs, and use relevant laboratory equipment for the analysis and design of electronics and communications components and systems.
