Internet of Things

various wireless protocols designed for implementing internet of things (IoT) applications. In this course, students will learn about protocol standardization for IoT, sensing and actuation mechanisms, fundamentals of media access control (MAC) protocols, and routing algorithms. Then students will also learn about radio frequency identification (RFID) and message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) protocols, low-power wide-area networks (LPWANs) such as LoRa WAN, Sigfox, NB-IoT, and LTE-M, as well as IPv6 over Low-Power Wireless Personal Area Networks (6LoWPAN).
