U for Urban Impact – 9th April 2021

U for Urban Impact (on the ground) was an event that took place at the GREEK Campus on the 9th of April 2021.

It highlighted four main themes that represent the “U”:

  1.  Rebuild
  2.  Recycle
  3.  Reconnect
  4. ) Rebrand.

The event provided a city-like experience where people explore the different ways to impact their public spaces and cities. A wide range of people participated in the event, where there was an activation area that included an information booth and an urban shop as well as a participation area with the main stage for the guest speakers and an interactive game zone.

There was also an exhibition area that connected exhibitors from all fields to highlight the previously mentioned goals. In the exhibition area, IMPAQT project partner represents participated with a booth under the “Rebuild” theme.

The represents displayed the IMPAQT project’s concept, vision, and mission as well as the main output, which is the Architecture and Urban Design – ARUD program at Nile University, to the event participants through printed flyers, notes, digital surveys, and videos. By the end of the event, the representatives were able to network with a considerable number of participants, including undergraduate students, parents, freelancers, consultants, and co-working spaces, to be contacted later for future collaboration.
