About Program
The Architecture and Urban Design (ARUD) program is a 5-year undergraduate program towards a B.Sc. in Architecture and Urban Design within the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences at Nile University. The program is developed through an EU Commission funded project; IMPAQT ( Integrated Multidisciplinary People-centred Qualification and Training ) which consolidates European and Egyptian expertise to ensure the development and transfer of required knowledge, skills and competences to ARUD graduates.
Mission & Objectives
- Graduate architects and urban designers that are equipped to face the challenges of the
contemporary city and bring people back to the forefront of their considerations. - Fulfill the designers’ role from the design of one room to the design of cities, rehabilitation
of historic cores or revitalizing a waterfront.

VR Lab
The Virtual Reality Lab is intended to accommodate all features and requirements to integrate stereoscopic virtual space and digital media technologies to compliment the human architecture design talents and expertise acquired during the studio sessions in the program. This includes VR headsets and screens equipped with ALL design tools for the students integrated into a virtual environment

Simulation Lab
Given the multidisciplinary nature of the developed program, ICT in AUS Lab will play an essential role in integrating the multiple disciplines in the curriculum. It will include Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Building Information Modelling (BIM), Building Performance evaluation and simulation programs, as well as tools for architects in several aspects, including design, analysis, simulation
